Service Charter

The Kenya Embassy in Cairo was established soon after independence in 1964. It was Kenya’s second foreign mission after the one in London. The Embassy is also accredited to the State of Eritrea, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Morocco, the State of Palestine and the Republic of Tunisia.

To articulate and implement Kenya’s Foreign Policy with a view to developing and enhancing Kenya’s bilateral engagement with countries of accreditation.

To project, promote and protect Kenya’s interests in the Arab Republic of Egypt, the State of Eritrea, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Kingdom of Morocco, the State of Palestine and the Republic of Tunisia.

Our Clientele

They include:

  • Kenya Central Government Ministries and devolved public sector service institutions;

  • Kenyan private sector and civil society;

  • Kenyan Diaspora;

  • Government and the people in the countries of accreditation;

  • Missions and International Organizations in the countries of accreditation;

  • Private sector in the countries of accreditation; and,

  • Service providers to the Embassy.

Our Core Functions

  •  Represent Kenya in the countries of accreditation;

  • Promote and protect Kenya’s interests in the countries of accreditation;

  •  Strengthen existing bilateral and multilateral relations with the countries of accreditation;

  • Promote and facilitate trade investment and tourism;

  •  Activate Joint Commissions for Cooperation with countries of accreditation;

  • Forge closer cooperation with the International and Regional Organizations in the region;

  • Implement treaties, conventions and agreements between Kenya and the countries of accreditation;

  • Provide efficient and effective protocol service for visiting delegations from Kenya;

  • Source and secure educational opportunities for Kenyans;

  • Promote and protect the interests of the Kenyan Diaspora;

  • Provide timely and responsive Consular Services; and,

  • Lobby for Kenya’s candidatures in the International Multilateral System.
